N. Colmore Fatagravure #88, Gyrcarling, Digitally Processed
I posted a digital shot of this damaged Neville Colmore fatagravure plate yesterday. I have been trying all day to tweak it digitally to get a decent image and find out what a gyrcarling is (or was) in response to discussion of a somewhat ominous journal entry that I posted in reference to another one of the fatagravures. This is the best version I've come up with so far. I'm hoping there will be another plate or something in the surviving journals or artefacts to give me something more to go on. It looks like some of the other fairy pictures but the wings appear more birdlike and the face is very odd.
